At midnight, I felt an irresistible urge to pen down
The chaos & havoc happening all around.
There’s a lot in my heart to say,
That I terribly failed to convey.
When these ruthless wounds will mend?
Will this futility ever end?
My tears ceased, eyes are now dry
My heart ached, but I try not to cry.
I questioned myself till when and why?
In search of truth, everything seems a lie.
Is there anyone trustworthy I could rely on?
Yes & indeed the Almighty; one and alone.
With shaking body, with a quivering hand
With a trembling pen, here my words land.
We have to be strong, for we aren’t wrong
Perhaps we appear extreme, but we need to scream
Coz neither it’s a movie, nor a play
It’s Genocide, yes a GENOCIDE every night & day!
They’re not sculptures made of clay or stones,
They’re humans having flesh & bones.
Their lies a soul & a heart like yours,
That solely feels pain & gloom Unlike ours.
A million dreams their eyes explicit shown,
It seems now they all are gone.
Having sleepless nights & haunting nightmares,
Layin’ in bed, it’s the ceiling I stare & stare,
Heart-wrenched, honestly it’s the feeling I couldn’t bear,
For I’m a human & I genuinely care.
Oh! Palestinians! Your valor blaze, in every spirit it gleams
An epitome of endurance, in the shadow of shattered dreams.
Finally, I dare to scream –
“From Rafah to Haifa, Pal**tin* will be Free
From Desert to Sea , Pal**tin* will be Free”
