From the frying pan into the fire

I had asked on a fb post what are Rahul Gandhi’s concrete ideas for solving the massive socio-economic problems of India e.g. poverty, hunger, unemployment, price rise, etc, since his rhetoric consists only of homilies like spreading love and opposing hate.

Many people said that that question should be put to the government.

Now the government has no ideas about how to solve them. But if RG is put into power it will be like jumping from the frying plan into the fire. In other words, it will make no difference, because he too has no ideas about how to solve them.

The main problems of Muslims are the same as the main problems of Hindus and other communities i.e. massive poverty, hunger ( India has slipped from position number 101 to 107 out of 121 countries surveyed by Global Hunger Index, behind neighbouring countries like Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh ), huge and rising unemployment, skyrocketing prices of essential commodities, almost total lack of proper healthcare and good education for the masses, etc.

But those who oppose questioning RG about all this seem only interested in ousting BJP. I am no supporter of BJP, but neither am I of Rahul Gandhi, who seems a duffer to me. By ousting BJP and putting Congress ( which had committed scams of lacs of crores of rupees when UPA was in power ) again into power will be like jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

It is time the Indian people stop thinking superficially and emotionally, and think out real solutions to our huge problems.
